Scripture Lesson: Isaiah 6:8 (NIV) In the midst of summer I left the small town in Indiana that I grew up in. Young and inexperienced, my new husband and I moved to Annapolis, Maryland. A new climate, new foods and new experiences. Leaving everything that was familiar, I discovered how little I knew about life. In this new place I didn’t know what to do. I needed help. And there she was, the sweet lady we rented the apartment from. She took me under her wing. We laughed, we talked and I asked her all kinds of questions about life. She helped me so much. I don’t know what I would have done without her in that moment of time. She was so giving and so wise. How lonely I would have been without her. In the same way Jesus invites you and me to bask in the sunshine of His love as we grow in Him. He is always available to us. As we begin to realize and experience His amazing love we can’t help but begin to share it with others. We see the needs all around us. It is such a blessing to serve others. In Isaiah 6:8 it reads: Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” And so be it. Pastor Carol
